In 2017, Alassal School near Khartoum underwent a transformative change with Oaknna's support. Overcrowded classrooms and floor seating prompted action, and with generous donations, sturdy desks and benches were provided. This success led to the renovation of four more classrooms, inspiring plans for a broader impact across Sudan. Our goal: revitalize education, empower children, and create brighter futures, one school at a time.

In Sudan, the absence of libraries in schools presents a significant challenge, denying students access to books due to financial constraints. To address this, we initiated a pioneering library project at Alassal school. Here, we installed cabinets filled with diverse literary treasures tailored to students' interests. Our mission extends beyond Alassal, aiming to replicate this success in other schools, spreading the transformative power of literature and fostering intellectual growth across Sudan.

In Sudan, hunger among schoolchildren hampers their learning and growth, but Oaknna is determined to make a difference. Through our school lunch program, we're ensuring every child has regular access to meals. With just a $100 donation, we can sustainably provide meals for a student for a whole school year, fostering their educational success. We're expanding our reach by partnering with dedicated teachers to identify and support vulnerable students. With community engagement and unwavering commitment, we aim to break the cycle of hunger and unlock every child's potential.

 
The Youth Leadership Program offers a transformative platform exclusively designed for Sudanese youth, with a particular emphasis on empowering young women. Through immersive leadership training workshops, the program cultivates essential skills such as critical and creative thinking, ethical responsibility, effective communication, and impactful public speaking.
